E’Angela Curry Bio:

“I’ve been keeping bees for a little over 5 years now. My journey as a beekeeper started when I found a swarm on my property. It was love at first sight! I’m very passionate about encouraging and planting for all pollinators, not just honeybees. I’m currently in the OSU Master Beekeeper Program. I’ve achieved my Getting Started, Apprentice, and Mentor certificates and I’m currently working on my Journey Certification.”

  • Breakdown of how much it is to get started. Angela will go over hive parts, equipment, different bee suits, books and catalogs as examples of where to purchase equipment

  • The differences between the queen, worker, and the drone and their life cycle.

  • How to get your first bees.

  • Installing your nuc or package.

  • What needs to be done once you have bees: inspections, feeding, mite testing, mite treatments, and resources.
