Berry Growing Basics with Schilling’s Staff

When: Saturday, June 28 | 11:00–11:30 AM
Where: On the patio at Schilling’s Garden Market

Join us on the patio during Berry Fest for a casual and informative session with one of our nursery associates! We'll be covering the essentials of growing blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries here in Central Oregon’s unique climate.

We’ll talk about:

  • Choosing the right berry varieties for your space

  • Soil prep, fertilizing, and when to plant

  • Early, mid-, and late-season blueberry varieties

  • Tips for watering, mulching, and pruning

  • Managing pests and protecting your crop from birds

Our berry plants will be on sale, and we’ll also have fertilizer, mulch, soil amendments, and bird netting in stock to help you get growing right away.

No registration needed—just swing by, grab a seat, and let’s talk berries!
